When should I not workout?
Safety is our number one priority. As always, it’s advisable to seek medical clearance before starting any new exercise or nutrition program. Therefore, please consult your doctor before using LES MILLS+ and follow their advice.
If you have a history of chest pain, knee, ankle, wrist, shoulder, joint, or spinal (back or neck) problems/injuries, please do not use LES MILLS+, unless advised otherwise by your physician. Similarly, do not use LES MILLS+ if you have any chronic disabilities or conditions which would place you at risk of injury or medical issue, or if you are prone to seizures. Flashing lights and rapid imagery changes may be used.
LES MILLS+ is not generally suitable for individuals under the age of 18. We do offer some specific content for children (BORN TO MOVE), but guidelines need to be followed. Individuals under the age of 18 may use the LES MILLS+ service to watch children's content using their parent or legal guardian's account only:
- with the consent and supervision of the applicable parent or legal guardian; and
- subject to the LES MILLS+ Terms of Use.
Finally, please ensure you read and follow all safety guidance provided as part of the LES MILLS+ Service. Further details on this can be found below.
How do I make sure I'm doing the workouts safely and correctly?
We have a number of videos that will help you master the moves for each program, and provide you with both easier & more difficult variations of exercises, allowing you to workout at your desired and suited intensity. These can be found in our Getting Started series, or within your chosen program. You should always watch these before you start a program for the first time, as each workout contains technique guidance from our instructors - you must listen carefully and follow all guidance.
If at any time you feel you are exercising beyond your current fitness abilities, or you feel discomfort, pain, dizziness, or nausea, you should discontinue exercising immediately.
You are responsible for exercising within your limits and assume all risk of injury to your person or property.
Can I use LES MILLS+ while I'm pregnant?
Exercise can be hugely beneficial during pregnancy, however, we recommend talking with your doctor or midwife who will advise you appropriately as they have the best knowledge of your medical history.
We have pregnancy variations specified in many releases too, such as in BODYBALANCE/BODYFLOW.
Additionally, we have our Post Pregnancy episodes too, ready for your return! There are a series of safe and simple workouts to help new mothers start with postpartum exercise.
